Subject: hey- Good morn, This weekend we get transfer calls, so i'll keep you updated with that. I'm assuming that i will stay in Syracuse, considering i have only been here for 3 months. I went on an exchange to Cortland, NY last week, it was fun. The NY Jets from the NFL have their training camp there, so the whole town was decorated with Jets attire. We wanted to go see them, but they were on the road. maybe we could have converted the whole Jets team... but it's just not their time to hear the gospel. haha. We are teaching a few new people, there's a man named Rob who's a police officer here in Syracuse.. he's doing really well. He came to church for sacrament meeting but had to bounce out for work after that. He has a lot of potential so we'll see how that goes. We're workin hard!! I'm going to get going but i hope you all press forward with a steadfast faith in Christ. The church is true. love, elder warr

Pride

What a great time i have been having recently on my mission.

We had a zone conference in Auburn this week, and it was amazing. President Bulloch trained out on not "looking back" Luke 9:62 and "pride". I could write many paragraphs about it, but for sake of time i will just tell you that i had such an awesome spiritual experience. I have realized that many, if not all sins hinge on PRIDE. My mission has changed. My life has changed. I am a different person because of this realization. i wish i could go through all the scriptures and detail that President did, but maybe when i come home we will all have a training by me.. and i will teach about how to be stripped of pride and how we can apply that principle in our lives. I feel like that was exactly what i needed to hear at this time in my life. I think that zone conference was for ME. but that was a prideful statement so i will agree that the zone conference was for all missionaries. Since President Bulloch has come in, there is a spirit of unity spreading. it's great!

In those pictures that i attached.. there's one where i am holding some shrubbery... well that is in fact a weed. I have never ever seen that big of weeds in my life... we had an investigator's yard that was going crazy, so we got to spend some time doing it for her. The other picture is Terry Davey.. he's the from Watertown, and he's now out of the hospital after suffering a stroke and is back in watertown. We blessed him on the day that they didnt think he was going to live... it was amazing to watch him come back after we gave him that blessing. the doctors couldnt believe it. The priesthood is real.

I have a deep love for you all, and "my soul delighteth in the things of the lord" 2 Ne. 4:15 May we all watch out for those "shafts in the whirlwind" Helaman 5:12 that the devil sends at us.

fondly,

Elder Warr

I am trying to think of meaningful things to tell everyone... so this is
what i got.

My Trainer Elder Bench became an assistant to the president recently...
so it's really nice because i get to call him whenever i want and talk
to him about everything... He is such an awesome guy, he gives me really
good advice on some questions that i have had about some investigators.

Sunny Jiminez (one of the latina women that we're teaching)... she
invited us over for dinner the other night, and it was awesome. They had
an awesome house... i still think it's so beautiful here in NY. I love
the homes out here... some of them have backyards of just nature and
forest. There are literally deer just walking around these peoples
houses. We ended up teaching her husband as well! his name is Eddie. He
has some questions about life... and says he needs proof. We read
scriptures and told some experiences, and now he's praying about some
doubts that he has.

My legs are getting bigger every day... biking is no longer a hindrance
to us because i dont even get tired anymore.... I'm probably the best
biker here in Syracuse. i can do sweet jumps all the time, and i can
ride a wheelie for quite some time.

Last night there was a lightening storm that went on for about 4 hours.
The lightening was seriously non-stop and it looked like strobe lights
coming in through the clouds. I had never seen anything like it before
in my existence.

Well, i love you guys.... stay cool fools.

amor,

elder warr

Rules Rules Rules

Greetings,

The spirit of our mission has changed a wee bit. We got trained out on
agency in our mission. President Bulloch is a different person than
President Eckersley. He has a testimony that people gain testimony of
principles by applying them into their lives and gaining a witness that
they are true through experiences. Missionaries have been asking so many
little questions to President Bulloch about the rules... so he has just
said that we are agents unto ourselves and that he's not going to
command in all things. He quoted from Jacob saying "O be wise, what can
i say more?" President Eckersley liked to handle all of the little
things, but President Bulloch wants us to discern the little things.
He's giving us a lot of trust, and i hope missionaries dont abuse it.
but we'll see!

The ministry continues... because of the Hill Cumorah Pageant a couple
weeks ago, we got 17 referrals this week, so Elder Slater and I have
been working our tails off to get to all of them...it's been fun.

I hope you are all having fun living your worldly lives....."But as for
me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15)
:)

love, elder Warr
